Q1. Why there are neither display messages nor backlight on the reader even after the installation and cabling of all the hardware was done?
  1. Forgotten to plug in the main power cord.
2. The power cord between the controller and the reader may not be properly connected or  has a weak connection. You may use the multi-meter to check weather there is power supply.
Q2. The display on the reader is working properly, but when it comes into contact with the smart card, the fourth line of the display shows “Processing…” What does that mean?
  1. There is a problem with the ID setting of the reader, go to the software “Basic Functions of the Controller”
2. Problem exists in the connection between controller and reader, or improper contact occurs, or wrong connection order exists.
3. Disconnection between controller and reader exists; user may need to inspect the connection.
Q3.

Reader displays “Accept” message, but door lock remains an inactive status, what the reasons are?

  1. Door contact and door lock signals are not connected.
2. Door contact is not installed yet; it means short circuit has not been inputted in the door contact on control panel.
3. Keep an eye on jumpers and make sure proper setting of J5 and J6.
Q4.

Jumpers of the reader for power selection remain disconnected.

 

Please check jumpers on control panel, search for J12 and J14, and then connect these two jumpers.

Q5. What are the reasons that AGMS6.0A computer cannot communicate with the controller?
 

1. When scanning the controller, please observe whether the TX indicator light of RS232/RS422 Interface Adapter is flashing, if not, that means COM. port was chosen wrongly.
2. Please double check whether proper connection of RS232/RS422 Interface Adapter exists.
3. Disconnection of AGMS6.0A or problem in I/O port may exist. Please contact your computer supplier for solution.

Q6. What are the reasons that AGMS6.0A software cannot communicate with certain of controllers?
  1. When you are setting the controller ID addresses, and these addresses are the same as those in the link ID, it may then cause communication chaos. Hence, please double check all the controller ID addresses which are set in the link ID and arrange them appropriate ID addresses.
2. Error exists in connection of PC com of some controllers, please inspect it carefully.
Q7.

When a test is proceeding and a “full transaction” message is displayed on the screen with the in-and-out computer communication, what the reasons are?

 

Card punch records are already full. Simply collect the data from the software.

Q8. How to handle the case when being unable to access the system?
 

Under the acquiescent situation, the log-in ID of the system is set as “SYSADMIN” with a blank password; if other log-in ID and password are set already, simply input the correct log-in id and password. 

Q9.

How to handle the case that software expired?

 

Simply obtain the serial number and extension number from our corporation, then input the set of numbers for system access.

Q10.

Why only in/out records are shown in the system but no attendance records?

 

Firstly, please check whether in/out records are already set as attendance records.
Then check whether in/out time are recorded within the working hours of shift table.
Finally check whether the roster is set as the current month’s roster.
